My Philosophies on Life
Oh god... the dreaded "MY BELIEFS" part of this page. lol... first off, I want
to say that I don't want to offend anyone, and if you do disagree with my beliefs, please, e-mail me and tell me about yours. I'm
a very open-minded person, and I'd love to get someone else's ideas of things. :D
I believe that gays/lesbians (even though I'm 'straight') have the right
to get married, I don't mind AT ALL when someone disagrees with my religion, and I like to have discussions about the different
religions and learn from someone else. I don't plan on having sex before marriage, but I don't think it's a bad thing - if
it's right for a certain couple and stuff, then they have all the right to; I just don't want to because I don't think I'm
emotionally ready.
My Political Beliefs
I am a strong Liberal/Democrat and am proud! lol... I don't support Bush, but
I do support our troops; I may not agree with the war, but I hold our troops in the highest of respects for fighting and dying
for something they may not even believe in themselves.
Sometimes I can be a bit sharp with very conservative Republicans, but it's mostly on issues
of President Bush or the death penalty. I am strongly against the death penalty, because I don't think anyone DESERVES to
die, and I believe that it doesn't teach anything. Someone takes a life, so the government takes their life in return - it's
hypocrisy. (In my opinion)

My Opinion on Current Events
July 15, 2005 - I just want to applaud Canada (I know, I'm like, a week
or two late on this) for allowing gay/lesbian marriages! Now, if only America's government could be as open-minded. I've finally
come to the decision that I support our TROOPS, but I DON'T support the WAR or our PRESIDENT. Call me whatever, but I don't
believe in Bush or anything he's done while in office. I feel he is inadequate as a president and Iraq's invasion is merely
a way for him to 'clean up' after his father's embarrassing mistake in the late '80s/early '90s.
April 3, 2005 - One of the current events I'm most opinionated about
is the war in Iraq. I'm strongly against it - I don't believe that America should have gotten involved in such a thing and
I think it reflects on Bush's poor judgement and leadership. I believe that this war is a lot like the Vietnam War; not many
people agree with it, yet we, as Americans, are forced into it and forced to support our troops, whom are doing something
we don't agree in.
